I am so excited to talk about and tell you about these beautiful pieces from MARGE Clothing Company. It is a clothing company specifically made for tall women designed to fit and feel as though they were designed for you as an individual. They truly are timeless upscale garments that I was so excited to have the privilege of trying. I want to tell you just a brief history about how this company started because I love the story. The founder and designer of the company, Kaersten Cooper, is as classy, elegant, and sophisticated as they come. I loved reading a little bit about her and how Marge was created. She decided to create the company that started in 2013 after being sick of not finding clothing that complimented her tall frame. Her grandmother, Marjorie Boldt, was a fashion illustrator and designer in the 1930’s and 40’s, who she learned her design practices from early on in her life. She is the inspiration behind the company, and the company name is derived from a signature she would use at the end of every love letter she wrote to her grandfather. As her role model and inspiration, she took what she learned from her grandmother and created luxurious clothing that cultivates a feeling of beauty and timelessness for the tall women, and I love that she did!
In this post, I have on the Heidi crepe tank top in ivory and peach, and the Luna sweater in blue luxe and coral. They are part of their summer resort 2016 collection and when I received the package of clothing from Marge, it was like Christmas. Seriously. I had been eyeing these pieces of clothing online and was so excited to get to try them. This tiered tank top is light weight and silky against the skin, and flows over my pregnant belly beautifully. I love the square neckline and the way it fits around the bust. It just says va va voom to me! One of the perks of being pregnant, is that along with a bigger belly and the added curves, the girls come back nice and plump for a time, and this top made me feel everything I want to feel; classy, elegant, and sexy. It has elastic stretch at the center of the back giving you room and support, and I loved the way it flowed over the rest of the torso. One of my favorite things about this blouse, is the tuck over the bust that controls the way the flounce falls. So elegant. The ivory color pops against the skin and can go with almost anything. It can be worn as a work piece, a dressier piece for going out, or casually I think. I also loved that with this top I can wear it as my body transitions through these changes being pregnant. Even after I have gotten back to my normal size, it will still look beautiful and flattering on the body and through all the different stages. The hem is a double hem ensuring a clean and neat finish that wont come undone. Really everything about it such great quality. The nice thing about Marge is that they are very descriptive and detailed about their fit. They tell you exactly how and wear to measure for each of their items so you will know what size to get because they want each garment worn to feel like a second skin. I was pleasantly surprised to see how well the things fit. It truly is true to size and I had no modifications needed. The Luna sweater goes great over these tops for a cool spring or summer night. It is so soft and structured, and self lined in a soft cotton blend. I loved the texture of the sweater and how the sleeves weren’t baggy or riding up my arms while I moved. Ha ha, I honestly just don’t have any complaints or negative things to say about this clothing! Karl Lagerfeld once said, “Fashion is a language that creates itself in clothes to interpret reality”, and it’s true that Marge made my reality feel completely luxurious in these tops. You can find any of their clothing at www.margeclothing.com. I am excited to share with you over the next few days a few more looks with their clothing, so stay tuned. Thanks for reading, and I hope you all are having a great weekend!
