I have been so excited to tell you guys about another cute clothing shop that is made especially for tall’s! And this shop is not just your basic plain t shirts and jeans shop, it’s got some really unique fun pieces that have some fun prints and colors that you don’t see everywhere else.
Recently I had the chance to connect with Maggie, who is the owner and designer of Six And A Quarter, and learn a bit about her and her tall clothing line. Standing at six feet herself, she was so tired of struggling to find clothing that fit her long limbs. Even when buying clothing in a taller size, they always seemed to fit when trying them on, but would then shrink after washing them. In 2011, she learned how to sew and decided to take matters into her own hands and made her own clothing. She then turned her passion into a business offering extra tall clothing for women searching for taller-than-tall clothing. She offers extra long garments that are made from pre-washed and pre-shrunk fabric so that you don’t have to worry about it not fitting after the first wash, along with some bold prints and fun colors, because even a tall wardrobe deserves some interesting statement pieces! This girl is on a mission to carve out a market for the extra tall women and help other retailers understand that clothing made to fit someone 5’9 doesn’t always fit the same on girls a few inches taller.
I fell in love with this cute neon coral burnout tee from her shop because I haven’t seen anything like it anywhere else! I love color and interesting patterns, and this shirt has both. It is soft, light weight, but durable so that even when my baby and toddler are pulling at my shirt it doesn’t stretch or rip. The sizing was right on for me, and I’m excited to say that this shirt will be worn on repeat with out looking like it’s been worn on repeat:).
I styled this shirt a couple different ways. The first look is more of a sporty look with my sports bra underneath, the shirt tied in a side knot, and paired with one of my favorite distressed jeans from American Eagle. I am ALWAYS on the move with my five kids, so this is my go-to-look for looking cute but comfy. The second, is how I wore it on my date night out with my husband. Paired it with a tank top underneath, some skinny jeans, and heels. He loved the way it looked on me too:).
Big thanks to my friend Abby from The Classy Giraffe who shot this first look for me!Had my husband take a couple shots of this second look before our date night:).
